Spaghetteria

📍76 Clovelly Rd, Randwick. I wish I lived closer to this place. Every time someone says Randwick, I immediately blurt out “You have to go to Spaghetteria.” It’s part pasta shop, part casual Italian heaven, and honestly one of the coolest spots I’ve been to in ages.

🍝 We tried nearly the whole menu and I have no regrets. Starting with the truffle-studded gnocchi little pillows filled with mushroom truffle ricotta, drenched in porcini butter, finished with a generous shower of Parmesan and cracked black pepper. Melt-in-your-mouth richness. Then the pumpkin-stuffed gnocchi, swimming in sage butter with sweet pumpkin ricotta inside, topped with amaretti crumble, Parmesan, and more pepper.

🫓 We kicked things off with whipped ricotta and Sardinian flatbread mmm that ultra-creamy ricotta spread over crisp, paper-thin bread? A dream combo. Then came the marinated Sicilian olives and the in-house baked focaccia which was fluffy, golden, perfect. And obviously we got burrata, because what’s an Italian meal without one? Creamy, gooey, and basically made to be eaten with everything else on the table.

🥒 We balanced all the rich stuff with a cucumber and tomato salad that had pickled red onion and pan-roasted tomato bit fresh, punchy and a little zingy, the perfect reset between bites of buttery gnocchi.

🍝 The other pastas? Also 10/10. The cacio e pepe with truffle was pure indulgence, it was silky, peppery, cheesy in all the right ways. And the spaghetti aglio? Packed with roasted tomato, olive, lemon pangrattato, garlic, olive oil, chilli and topped with fresh parsley and lemony breadcrumbs that added the most satisfying crunch. Simple but unforgettable.

💭 I already know I’ll be back. I’ve got unfinished business with the pasta. And I’ll absolutely need more focaccia, because once was not enough.

🏃‍♀️Spaghetteria is one of those places that just gets it. The food, the vibe, the flavours which is all so thoughtful without being fussy. Perfect for first date vibes or take your friends, go hungry, and don’t hold back. You’ll roll home and still want more.
