Gellafrenda

✨ The absolute icon @foodenthusiast.sydney invited me out for a foodie adventure at Gellafrenda in Penrith — and babes, when an invite like that hits your inbox, you grab your stretchiest pants and go.

Vibe check = Total modern meets trendy Sydney Italian spot energy. Think fairy lights, lots of outdoor tables, a buzzy atmosphere — the type of place where you accidentally stay for hours talking about your deepest secrets over a bowl of pasta.

The team was so warm and busy!! Happy to help.

I lived my best fairy princess fantasy sipping on the Bubblegum Breeze — fairy floss cordial, pineapple juice and soda. Sweet, flirty, and a little bit extra. Basically me in liquid form.

What we ate:

House Made Focaccia — garlic butter, pecorino and mozzarella. With wagyu fat butter candle. Love the concept. Focaccia was a little thick.

Calamari Fritti — crispy perfection

Pepperoni Pizza — tomato base, fior di latte and a mountain of pepperoni. Most pepp pizzas are spicy and this wasn’t. Which I loved.

Bee Sting Pizza — tomato base, salami, ricotta, fior di latte and hot honey. Sweet, salty, spicy… she’s a triple threat.

Pappardelle with Braised Lamb Ragu — rich, luscious, warm hug in a bowl energy.

Fettucine Carbonara — creamy, dreamy sauce with crispy beef bacon and whipped Parmesan. Heaven, honestly ontop of that crunch schnitzel that stayed crunchy!!

100 Layer Lasagna — yes, you read that right. 25 layers each of pasta, bolognese, bechamel and cheese. I saw my entire future flash before my eyes after one bite.

What’s next:

I need to go back for the dessert!!!

Gellafrenda understood the assignment. From the vibe to the food to the service, it was an absolute 10/10.

Huge thank you to @foodenthusiast.sydney for the invite — I left full, happy, and dying to show people what we ate.
